Inquiry of Water and Life in Abbeville, LA
“Water is life, and life is change. Those who live on the water know this. They are the adaptable ones.” Abbeville’s stories of tenacity, struggle, strength, and triumph come to life on stage in this play created from the stories of the people from the community.
The play opened on March 17, 2017. It brought together people across different ages, cultures, races and more. Many of the cast members were on stage for the first time. Many of them didn’t know each other before. But in this life-transforming theatrical experience, in two weeks, they presented a play that moved many to tears and touched many hearts profoundly.
